Sharing Decor Inspiration at Haus Design

Today, I have the pleasure of guest posting at Haus Design.  Barbara's away on an amazing vacation in Asia.  She'll then be returning to settle in to her new hometown of Seattle, Washington.  I hope she's having a wonderful time!

Barbara asked that I share with her readers some design inspiration on the classic beauty of decorating with small statues and sculpture in the home.

I hope you'll stop by Haus Design and check out my feature post.  Be sure to leave a comment for Barbara...  she's looking forward to reading them when she returns home!

Organizing Playrooms with Keri at Ivy Clad

Today, I have the pleasure of sharing some Home Organization Ideas over at Keri's charming blog: Ivy Clad.

Keri, the proud mommy of two lovely little girls, asked if I could share some of my Organizing and Storage Ideas for Playrooms.

And, even though today is my youngest child's 18th birthday (I am soooo old!), I still have vivid memories of when my "babies" were much smaller.  I can also recall the strategies I devised for keeping their oodles of toys, books, crafts, and games neat and organized.

To check out my guest post, stop by and visit Keri at Ivy Clad.  Thanks for reading!

Home Organization Feature Post: A Place for Paper

(via Bright-Bold-Beautiful)
Today, I have the pleasure of sharing some Home Organization Ideas over at
Carolyn's delightful blog: Sweet Chaos.

Carolyn enjoys decorating and updating her lovely home. With a hubby, four active little boys and a big dog, she's looking for ways to help sort and store all the "stuff" that comes along with having a very busy household.

According to Carolyn, her biggest challenge is devising an efficient paper organizing system. She asked if I would write a post on the topic, which inspired me to find creative ideas on how to "Put Paper in its Place".

Thank you, Carolyn, for inviting me to share this guest post with your readers today!

Please stop by and visit Sweet Chaos to read my Feature Story: 'Home Organization Ideas: A Place for Paper'.

If you're not already familiar with Carolyn's charming blog, be sure to check out her remodelling projects and take a tour of her beautiful home!

Pink: A Pretty Colour with an Important Cause

Amanda Nisbett

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month,
This Design Story showcases
The amazing strength and impressive power of the colour PINK.

Below are sixteen beautifully designed rooms, each one embracing the energy and complexity of an endearing colour that has come to symbolize so much to so many.

Romantically derived from uniting the passion of red with the purity of white, PINK is a celebration of life, love, and all things beautiful.

The skillful application of this versatile colour can be a soft and sophisticated addition to any room or design style...
