Light and Lovely Laundry Rooms

Most of us will agree that 'Doing the Laundry' is a tedious and thankless chore.

So, why not make the space where we wash and dry and iron and fold and repeat... as pretty and appealing as possible?

This laundry room does double duty as a butler's pantry.  The soft lines of the washer and dryer blend in beautifully with the elegant atmosphere in this space.

This laundry room shares space with the guest bathroom.  When not in use, the washer and dryer are cleverly hidden behind folding doors.

Even though this laundry room is located in the basement, the space is still bright and inviting.  Ample cupboard and counter space easily make up for any lack of natural light.

Tucked into a landing alcove, this laundry room has the style and details that allow it to blend seamlessly into an open area.

In this combination laundry room / mudroom, a series of closed doors hide the clutter and help to keep this space looking clean and tidy.

A stacked washer and dryer are neatly disguised behind cupboard doors in this small but fresh and inviting laundry room.

This laundry room has a cottage style charm.  I love the pull down dryer racks and the soft blue and white colour scheme.

This laundry room is given personality with dramatic, deep purple walls.  Plenty of cupboards and counter space, a handy sink and a rod for hanging clothes... this space has it all.

Regardless of whether your laundry room is in a closet, the basement, or in a spacious room all its own, make it a space you enjoy spending time in.

I hope this design story has inspired you to create a laundry room that reflects your own unique and beautiful sense of style!
